New User-Agent on requests for file imports Sep 29, 2025 14:00-15:00 UTC

This is a planned maintenance window to roll out an update to the Zamzar Developer API. No system downtime is anticipated.

As part of this update, all file import requests made over HTTPS will now include a new HTTP User-Agent header. This applies whenever you submit jobs to the API using HTTPS URLs as the source.

The new header will be:
User-Agent: zamzar-api/1.0 (+https://developers.zamzar.com)

Recommended Actions:
- Ensure that your web server accepts inbound requests with this User-Agent string.
- If you maintain a whitelist of User-Agent strings, update it to include the one shown above.

If you do not whitelist User-Agent strings, no action is required — your file imports will continue to function normally.

For more information on User-Agent headers please see https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Reference/Headers/User-Agent

Direct file uploads and imports from S3 are not affected by this change.
